King’s Day .
On the 27th April (the 26th if the 27th falls on a Sunday) the whole of the Netherlands is coloured orange as this date marks the birth of King Willem-Alexander .
From 1890 to 2013, the day was known as Koninginnedag or Queen's Day.  King's Day is a bank holiday in the Netherlands.

Members of DAG try to get together on a date convenient to all and close to 30th April and the colour orange plays a big part in their getting together.
